IAOT 25th Board Meeting Took Place in Sochi

The 25th Session of the Governing Board with the authority of the Assembly of the International Association of Oil Transporters took place in Sochi, Russia on June 10, 2025. Leaders of all the Member companies as well as the Executive Director took part at the event. For the first time ever since being accepted as a full-fledged member of the organization the Caspian Pipeline Consortium hosted the notable event.

Chaired by N. Gorban, the General Director of CPC, the Session participants reviewed business matters of the Association pertaining to 2024-2025 and approved financial and audit reports. The event attendees were presented with information on activities of the ‘Efficient, Reliable and Safe Operation of Trunk Pipeline Systems’ Permanent Expert Group, as well as on the results of the IAOT Center of Excellence session.

Association members discussed issues related to organizing the ‘Best in Profession’ International Professional Skill Contest and supported creation of the fifth Permanent Expert Group (PEG) on energy security and risk management. As a reminder, now there are four standing expert groups within the IAOT: on energy efficiency, on legal matters, on supplies, and ‘Efficient, Reliable and Safe Operation of Trunk Pipeline Systems’ PEG. The Supplies PEG meeting took place at the 10th June as well, prior to the Board meeting.

The IAOT Governing Board unanimously supported the initiative of CPC to establish platform for industry-wide discussions and experience exchange in the field of Health, Industrial Safety, and Environmental Protection within the framework of IAOT (the Process Safety Culture).
